PaperCut integration
Manage PaperCut users, balances, printers, and shared accounts and check printer health from service requests.
What it connects
- Retrieve users, groups, and balances before a change.
- Pull printers and their health when someone reports a problem.
- Retrieve recent jobs for a printer or device for troubleshooting.
- Pull shared accounts and the users and groups who can use them.
What it automates
- Add, update, or delete users and change their group membership.
- Adjust user or shared account balances after a request is approved.
- Enable, disable, or rename printers during maintenance or moves.
- Grant or remove access to shared accounts for users and groups.
In practice
- An employee runs out of print credit. After approval, STLabs adjusts their PaperCut balance and confirms the new amount on the ticket.
- A user reports that a printer is not working. STLabs checks the printer's health and recent jobs so the agent starts with the details.
- A printer is being serviced. STLabs disables it in PaperCut during the work and enables it again when the technician confirms.
- A new project starts and needs its own print account. After approval, STLabs creates the shared account and gives the team access.
